WHAT WE OFFER
Our Programs
Head Start
The Head Start Program is a federally funded comprehensive school readiness program for children between 3 and 5 years of age. Head Start has certified and experienced teachers who provide a safe, healthy and nurturing environment for all children, including accommodation for children with special needs. Housing Choice Voucher Program
The Housing Choice Voucher Program is a program funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (H.U.D.) with the purpose of providing rental assistance for income-eligible families. The ultimate goal is to provide renters with safe and affordable housing.
Neighborhood Centers
St. Lawrence County C.D.P. operates six Neighborhood Centers throughout the county. These centers provide services to low-income families with the generous and indispensable assistance of community volunteers. Each center has a food pantry and assists with food, emergency shelter and utilities, and individual or family development services.
Weatherization
The Weatherization Program is designed to make homes safer and more energy-efficient for homeowners or renters. This program provides a number of weatherization measures, such as insulation and furnace tune-up. There are income guidelines for this program.

Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are crucial to the success of the St. Lawrence County C.D.P. and assist in Neighborhood Centers, Head Start Centers, and with fundraising events. There are various opportunities available through which community members may contribute to our service provision.
